Using Music Therapy to help you find a clear path to success.

Welcome to Harmonious Concepts

Harmonious Concepts is a music therapy service provider. It was conceived and founded by Nellie Doty, a Board Certified music therapist who saw the need to expand the availability of quality  therapy services in:

  • Beaumont,
  • Port Arthur,
  • Orange, and
  • Southeast Texas.

Because music is a universal language, music therapy is able to address a broad spectrum of objectives in many different life circumstances. For example any child or adult with:

  • Autism
  • Cognitive Disabilities
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Schizophrenia

can benefit from on going music therapy related activities.

Why is this therapy so affective in both children and adult? Music Therapy can benefit almost anyone because it utilizes the healing properties of music (rhythm, sound, harmony, movement and others) to address physical, emotional, social or cognitive skills in people of all ages. Anyone can appreciate and experience music on their individual levels. We customize our sessions to the ability of the individual. We develop a rich, whole person approach to promote positive interaction and affect useful change.

Contact Harmonious Concepts Texas and let us discuss how we can help you, your child or your loved one. We are dedicated to educating the parent and care givers, other health care professionals, and educators about the benefits of music therapy and its ability to improve one’s quality of life.
